The Human Imaging Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality MRI, CT and PET CT imaging services to support human and pre-clinical research conducted within the Centre for Advanced Imaging (CAI).
In this position you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-standard imaging practices; supporting research teams; and contributing to the ongoing development of advanced imaging methodologies. You will require a high level of technical expertise, motivation, flexibility and autonomy. In addition to strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in research imaging and participant care. You will also act as second in charge to the Senior Manager – Human Imaging
The role operates on a fortnightly schedule, with working days in Week 1 on Monday through Thursday and in Week 2 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Completion of a master's degree or equivalent in Medical Imaging, Registration with the AHPRA Medical Radiation Practice Board as Diagnostic Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Scientist Queensland Radiation user Licence Demonstrating a high level of skills and expertise to support diagnostic imaging. Skills in research imaging which encompasses CT, MR and Ultrasound would be favourable. Experience in a clinical and/or research role, with 5–7 years management experience in clinical MRI and/or CT. Strong analytical and decision-making skills sufficient to assess a wide range of problems and develop/implement appropriate solutions. High level of computer proficiency, including competency in working with personal computers using a variety of enquiries, spreadsheet, data transfer and storage, database, word processing, e-mail and internet software. Ability to provide advice on MR and CT protocols, safety of participants/visitors. Demonstrate high level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and meet deadlines. Demonstrate ability to establish co-operative working relations with staff across variety of professional organisations
Experience working in a clinical environment. Experience in PET/CT. Previous experience using Siemens Operating Systems Experience in setting up and handling anaesthetic and patient monitoring equipment.
