Your new role
The position is within the Diabetes and Obesity Discovery Biology department, which is part of Global Research (GR).
As an Associate Scientist, you will:
Ultimately, your work will contribute to the improvement of the quality of life for millions of people with diabetes, obesity or other cardiometabolic diseases around the world.
About the department
The Diabetes & Obesity Discovery Biology department is part of the Diabetes & Obesity Discovery & Translation area with primary focus on establishing new cellular in vitro models to elucidate mode-of-action and profiling of novel biology and molecules for early evaluation of new drug candidates. We contribute to many different research activities and projects, and we are responsible for delivering high quality data and input to drive the projects forward. For this purpose, we apply state-of-the-art equipment and collaborate closely with other departments within the cardiometabolic disease area.
In the department, we are seven scientists, three technicians, and three students/interns. Our working atmosphere is characterised by an open, cheerful, and informal tone. With a multitude of different nationalities in the team, both working and social language is English.
