Your Responsibilities
The Katsaros Group studies spin qubits in two-dimensional Ge heterostructures and, in parallel, studies hybrid semiconductor-superconductor systems. Currently, we are looking for a research technician in order to support our group with developing novel nanodevices and support the group in their fabrication projects.
Participate in research and development by fabricating devices on Ge/SiGe heterostructures, such as Hall bars, quantum dots and circuit quantum electrodynamics devices in a state-of-the-art Nanofabrication facility
Participate in low-temperature pre-characterization measurements
Being part of an interactive and international group of students, postdocs, and interns with diverse backgrounds and support their projects
Your Profile
MSc, or PhD in quantum physics or material science, with knowledge in fabrication of quantum devices
Proven experience with nanofabrication (electron-beam lithography, electron beam evaporation, dry etching, atomic layer deposition, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy)
Excellent command of English (working language)
Proactive personality with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Positive mindset, resilience in the face of setbacks
Team player with the ability to work independently, learn quickly and multi-task
