What will the work involve?
The fellow will join a research project within the South Atlantic and Antarctic Program, investigating the pharmaceutical/biotechnological potential of marine microbial compounds against *Trypanosoma cruzi* and multidrug-resistant bacteria. Studies will include the isolation of secondary metabolites and a broad evaluation of antiparasitic/antibacterial activity, as well as mechanism-of-action studies.

Prerequisites:
Duration: 40 hours per week, starting in April 2026. For up to 36 months
Stipend: R$ 12,570.00 per month, (approximately ≈ US$ 2,380 – US$ 2,410 per month) based on current exchange rates.
Candidates will be evaluated based on the submitted documentation. If necessary, an interview will be conducted via videoconference.
