The research group of Michael Filarsky at the Interfaculty Institute for Biochemistry (IFIB) at the University of Tübingen, is looking for a highly motivated PhD student (m/f/d) to investigate the role of epigenetic mechanisms and chromatin enzymes in controlling cell fate decisions in the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum. The project is part of an ERC starting grant project, which aims to uncover the molecular factors, that link environmental signals, chromatin states and cell cycle progression during the red blood cell stages of the parasite.
