Job Description: The Bove lab at the Mission Bay campus of UCSF is looking to appoint a Junior Specialist. The laboratory focuses on Sex and Gender-informed Neurology, as well as Digital Medicine. We are looking for talented, motivated, enthusiastic candidates who want to aid in exciting research discoveries in both digital medicine and sex and gender informed neurology. The successful applicant must work closely with the PI and other faculty and their lab members to support the lab's mission. Candidates who are looking for additional experience working in a clinical research laboratory and patient interaction before pursuing graduate education or a further career are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements: Specialists appointed at the junior rank must possess a bachelor's degree, in the fields of biology, neuroscience, neurobiology, biochemistry, or related disciplines, or have at least four years of research experience. Applicants must have obtained the degree requirement for the Specialist rank by the time of hire. Candidates should have strong communication (written and verbal) skills. Candidates should be detail-oriented and possess excellent organization and analytical skills.
The ideal candidate will have familiarity with one or more of the following: patient interaction, data collection, patient recruitment, and quantitative and/or computational analysis. Candidates interested in working in the lab for at least two years are preferred.
