The lab of Dr. Corina Amor Vegas, at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking a Lab Manager to lead day-to-day operations. The Amor Vegas laboratory studies aging with the goal to improve health span and find effective treatments for age-related diseases. To do this, they focus on understanding the biology of senescent cells, dysfunctional cells that accumulate in organisms over time and drive aging diseases. They pioneer the development of CAR T cells able to eliminate these senescent cells. In their studies, they harness senolytic cell therapy to both understand the biology of senescent cells and to develop new therapeutic strategies. About the Lab Manager role:
You will hold an integral role within the lab as the ‘go-to’ person – coordinating the day-to-day operations involved in running the lab and serving as both a professional partner to Dr. Amor Vegas and the primary liaison between the lab and various external groups (CSHL administrative offices, EH&S, HHMI science operations offices, vendors, etc.). You will have a background in lab operations/administration and be committed to fostering a respectful, thriving, collaborative work environment. You are someone who exhibits strong communication skills, can multitask, has great time management skills, and has a desire to be a part of a robust scientific community. This role is best fit for someone who is proactive in their work style, adaptable to change, and passionate about the research that the lab is conducting.

Laboratory Manager I – $78,320 (minimum) – $97,900 (midpoint) – $127,270 (maximum)
Laboratory Manager II – $95,920 (minimum) – $119,900 (midpoint) – $155,870 (maximum)
Pay Type: Annual
HHMI’s salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate’s education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.#LI-NG1
