The Physics Lecture Demonstration Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering visually engaging and pedagogically effective physics demonstrations to support undergraduate teaching. The incumbent will establish a structured demonstration system, build a categorized demo bank aligned with core physics topics, and work closely with faculty to integrate demos into lectures. Responsibilities include managing a demo inventory, setting up and presenting demos in lectures, procuring and maintaining equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and enhancing student engagement through interactive demonstration experiences. Additionally, the role provides technical support for teaching labs and supports divisional outreach events (e.g. Open House, lab visits, school talks) and participates in research initiatives related to physics education and demonstration development.
