The Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS) is the most clinically facing Faculty at UCL and is at the forefront of innovation and research in the medical sciences. The post holder will be a member of the Faculty Education Administration and Student Experience team who work together to support all our students and education activities.
We are recruiting for a Curriculum Manager for UCL's Undergraduate Medicine programme (MBBS) which trains and qualifies distinctive 'UCL Doctors' – highly capable, and patient-centred clinicians, equipped to practise medicine in a professional, inclusive, and sustainable way, grounded in science and best practice.
The post holder leads a team of 10 responsible for coordinating the 6-year MBBS programme of study including Curriculum Information Management; core MBBS teaching activities and clinical placement allocations; iBSc allocations; clinical placement liaison to guide local placement teams in providing timetabling and content aligned with the General Medical Council's Outcomes for Graduates and the Intended Learning Outcomes set out in our MBBS Curriculum Map. The post holder creates and maintains service standards and Standard Operating Procedures to deliver high quality services and student experience.
The post holder provides strategic support for the MBBS Senior Leadership Team and Year Leads and works closely with the MBBS Tariff Officer to inform annual Student Load and NHS tariff returns, the MBBS Clinical and Professional Practice (CPP) and MBBS Placement Managers to enable high quality teaching and placements experience for medical students, and a broad range of key academic, clinical and professional services staff across UCL and its partner NHS Trusts, Primary Care and Specialist Providers.
The post holder represents the MBBS on the CIMEC (Centre for International Medical Educational Collaborations) team, contributing to work packages and coordinating MBBS input into CIMEC projects.

We are looking for an experienced education manager with a service orientated outlook able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders from senior academic and clinical leadership to undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have experience of project work and education management including curriculum organisation and timetabling. They will be able to work independently and will be skilled in leading and managing a professional-services team.
