Medical Technologist (ImmunoDx IVD), DxD Hub

Diagnostics Development Hub (DxD Hub) is seeking a highly motivated Medical Technologist/Scientist to join the ImmunoDiagnostics team, focused on supporting the clinical laboratory and product development activities.

The successful candidate will contribute in assay verification and validation and participate in part of product development project activities to deliver successful and impactful solutions. This is a 18-months contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for good records and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in accordance with confidential information requirement, quality system and regulatory guidelines.
• Responsible to prepare specimens for analysis.
• Responsible for assay execution, analysis and reporting using sophisticated procedures and equipment.
• Adhere to agreed safety standards for infection control and sterility in clinical laboratory settings.
• Ensure proper documentations and records for traceability.
• Manage and perform lab operations activities, including general laboratory and equipment housekeeping, calibration and qualifications, and consumables purchasing.
• Support part of product development project activities such as clinical recruitment, where applicable.

Job Requirements:

• Education in Medical Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in protein-based assay, preferably in clinical laboratory settings is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Laboratory skills in techniques in pre-analytical and analytical, including basic knowledge and hand-on experience in protein- and molecular-based techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry assay or PCR.
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory workflows.
• Candidates with no experience may apply.
• Meticulous and able to strictly follow standard operating procedures.
• Effective communications and good interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to be highly multi-tasking with prompt response.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good problem-solving skills.
• A strong team player with a proactive and upbeat attitude.
• Knowledge of MS Office, ie: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
