Biology Expert (PhD) – Remote Research Role in AI & Biology Part-time

Job Description

We are seeking highly qualified Biology PhDs to join a remote research project at the intersection of life sciences and artificial intelligence. This role is ideal for researchers interested in applying their expertise in biology, bioinformatics, and computational science to the development of next-generation AI systems for science and medicine.

Responsibilities:

• Design and generate challenging, domain-specific problems in biology to improve training data for AI models.

• Apply expertise in molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, or related life sciences to guide problem curation.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers working on AI for biology and healthcare.

• Work fully remotely with flexible, asynchronous scheduling.

Role Details:

• Contract type: Hourly, remote

• Compensation: $60–80/hour, weekly payouts

• Hours: ~15–20 hours per week, with potential to scale up to 40 hours

• Duration: Minimum of 1–2 months, with possibility of extension

• Screening: short online interview and written assessment (20–30 minutes)

Requirements:

• PhD in Biology or a related life sciences discipline (molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, biophysics).

• Undergraduate degree completed in the US, UK, Canada, or Europe.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and proficiency in English.
