We are searching for the best talent for an MSAT Emerging Tech Associate Scientist to be in Spring House, PA. The Scientist joining the team will develop new strategies for delivering optimized manufacturing solutions through product intensification, advanced process control (APC) and real time release testing initiatives within the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Emerging Technologies organization. Our team is committed to activities such as scouting emerging manufacturing innovations and deploying sensing technologies in manufacturing.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing evaluations of new technologies on a development scale to support commercial scale implementation. Although we support all therapeutic platforms, a focus in our biotherapeutic molecule drug substance and drug product are prioritized critical initiatives. You will research, design and complete lab-scale protocols to develop new technologies and to summarize the data in several different data systems. The candidate will develop multivariate models to improve the production of selected proteins and support real time release initiatives. You will use your innovative ideas to apply the real-time release strategy and support the implementation of new business opportunities, and you challenge the status quo with strong dedication and customer focus. You will also coordinate and oversee technical feasibilities (including DoE design, technology scouting, analytical testing) in close interaction with various partners including regulatory affairs, quality, engineering and site technical operations. As part of an international and multidisciplinary team, you will participate in strategic project meetings to provide project updates and founded proposals for decisions and coordinate the planning of activities in close interaction with local management.
