The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a two-year post-doctoral position in comparative oncogenetics and immunoinformatics. The position is available from 1 August 2026 or after agreement. Our research focusses on comparing the mutational spectre in tumors between dogs and humans, to understand the shared mechanisms behind cancer development and identify targets for therapy. This position will focus on understanding the link between tumor mutations, antigen presentation and a targeted t-cell response, by studying spontaneous tumors in companion dogs. The overall goal will be to understand mechanisms behind a successful tumor directed immune response.
You will be part of the Molecular and Comparative Clinical Oncology group at Dept. of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (University of Copenhagen) working in close collaboration with national and international research collaborators at the Danish Technical University and Uppsala University. This position will focus on understanding the link between tumor mutations, antigen presentation and targeted t-cell response using methods such as tumor normal sequencing, single cell RNA sequencing and mathematical modelling. As part of the project a post doctoral externship to Uppsala University is planned. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with a PhD in comparative genetics or a similar field.
