The Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences calls for applications for a 2-year position as a postdoctoral researcher in cellular agriculture for milk production. The position is available from August 1, 2026, or soon thereafter. The position is in the research section Gut and Host Health.
We seek a candidate with a strong background in animal science, biology or veterinary science. The candidate should have experience in applied cell biology and mammary gland physiology in dairy cattle. Furthermore, the candidate must have experience in designing and conducting cell biology studies including experimental collection of mammary tissue from cows. The candidate should have a strong track-record in establishing cell and organoid cultures from tissue from animals including passaging and real-time measurement of cell growth. The candidate must have good collaborative and English communication skills. The candidate will be part of an active and dynamic research group, which is internationally recognized for its research in cell and lactation physiology. To support the development of the research area, the candidate is expected to contribute to attracting external funding within this research area. The postdoc will participate in knowledge exchange with public authorities and industry, as well as in teaching and supervision at the bachelor's, master's, and PhD levels within animal and veterinary sciences.
