Job description
The work will be focused on analysis of faba bean interactions with rhizobia in field soil and will be conducted as part of the N2CROP project.
Your profile
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a keen interest in legume-rhizobium interactions that is able to solve problems independently and enjoys working at the interface between biology and data science in collaborative projects. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Experience with faba bean cultivation and inoculation, legume-rhizobium interactions and plant and rhizobium molecular genetics and genomics is an advantage. Applicants should hold a PhD in molecular biology or similar.

You will be part of a dynamic environment at the Section for Plant Molecular Biology, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, where work is focused on the study of legumes. The research environment is cross-disciplinary with PIs specialized in bioinformatics, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology and genetics.

Application procedure
Shortlisting is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – and with the assistance from the assessment committee chairman, and the appointment committee if necessary, – the head of department selects the candidates to be evaluated. All applicants will be notified whether or not their applications have been sent to an expert assessment committee for evaluation. The selected applicants will be informed about the composition of the committee, and each applicant is given the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that concerns him/her self. Once the recruitment process is completed a final letter of rejection is sent to the deselected applicants.
