The Cell Reprogramming in Hematopoiesis and Immunity lab is seeking a Postdoc. The group's primary scientific focus aims to understand hematopoietic and immune cell identities and translate this knowledge into novel gene and cell therapies.

Work duties and areas of responsibility The research assignment consists in you independently developing in vivo reprogramming of tumor cells into cDC1-like cells using RNA vectors, with the ultimate goal to develop an off-the-shelf, safe, and scalable immunotherapy solution that has the potential to enhance current immunotherapy approaches. This includes cell culture, microscopy, histology, and working with animal models. The work duties also comprise data analysis, FACS, and immunohistochemistry. You will also publish scientific articles in high-impact journals in the field, attend international conferences, and develop and assist in other work duties related with the project.
Qualifications Requirements for employment are: A doctoral degree in a relevant subject area, such as molecular biology, tumor biology, immunology, or a related field. Strong ability to initiate, develop, and conduct independent research at an advanced level. Excellent oral and written English proficiency. Good communication and collaborative skills, initiative, and the ability to solve work tasks independently.
Additional qualifications for the position are: Previous experience of research with similar projects.
Eligibility To be eligible for a postdoctoral position, the applicant must have obtained a doctoral degree, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent, in a subject relevant to the position (i.e., molecular biology, tumor biology, immunology, or a related field). The degree must have been awarded no more than three years before the date of the employment decision. Exceptions may be made if there are special circumstances.
Further information The position is a fixed-term appointment for 2 years, start date of 2026-06-01 or as agreed upon.
