A three-year postdoctoral position in astronomy is available at the Department of Physics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. The successful candidate will join the research group of Prof. Josefin Larsson and conduct research on supernova remnants.
The position focuses on the analysis and interpretation of observational data from space- and ground-based facilities, including facilities such as JWST and HST. A range of research projects is available, depending on the interests and expertise of the candidate. Possible research directions include studies of ejecta structure and composition, circumstellar interaction, and pulsar wind nebulae. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in the supervision of master's and/or PhD students.
Astrophysics research at KTH is part of the Oskar Klein Centre for Cosmoparticle Physics (OKC) at the AlbaNova University Centre. OKC provides a vibrant international research environment, including a large community of researchers working on supernovae. The centre hosts a broad range of activities, seminars, and collaborations that support a dynamic research atmosphere.
