This position is with the Division of Endocrinology Metabolism and Lipid Research at WashU. The laboratory of Dr. Carlos Bernal-Mizrachi, Philip E. and Carolyn E. Cryer Professor of Medicine and Chief of Medicine at the St. Louis VA Medical Center, invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The laboratory is engaged in NIH-funded basic and translational research focused on the mechanisms by which prenatal vitamin D deficiency and hyperglycemia programs cardiovascular and metabolic disease across the lifespan.
The laboratory has decades of experience in basic and translational research evaluating the mechanisms by which vitamin D and acute hyperglycemia modulates innate immune cells and the inflammatory milieu that contributes to the development of insulin resistance, hypertension and cardiovascular disease.
