Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join our research team working on transient spectroscopic studies of organic nanoparticle photocatalysts. The post holder will join a UKRI funded project on photocatalytic green hydrogen production jointly with the McCulloch group at the University of Oxford. It will focus on the use of transient absorption analyses of photocatalyst function, including operando photoinduced absorption studies, and their correlation of materials structure, spectroelectrochemical analyses and hydrogen evolution performance. Experience in transient absorption and photoinduced absorption analyses of photocatalyst particles, in addition to expertise in photocatalyst preparation and functional evaluation will be essential. Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry or Physics (or be close to completion) or a relevant subject area to taking up the appointment. You will be expected to work well as a part of the team, and contribute significantly to the supervision of research students, support in proposal writing, and with the management of external collaborations.
Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your application.
