The Boon Lab at WashU in St. Louis is looking for an enthusiastic post-doctoral fellow to support our team studying cellular immune responses to influenza virus and SARS-CoV-2 in mouse and hamster models. The projects in the lab include assessing the role of T and B cell immunity on virus infection and transmission, evaluating innovative virus vaccines, as well as developing assays and reagents for hamster immunology, and identifying T cell epitopes in different viruses and species. The lab is housed at WashU Medicine in Saint Louis, MO. The lab is housed on a floor with several other laboratories that study virus-host interactions. We have ongoing collaborations with labs in many other departments in the University including Molecular Microbiology and Pathology & Immunology.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Working conditions include potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
