The Ting Zhang Lab in the Department of Molecular Microbiology at WashU Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our research team. The successful candidate will investigate the functions of bile metabolites induced by bacterial infection. We aim to advance our understanding of how infection-stimulated bile metabolites influence intestinal defense mechanisms and disease outcomes. This work involves a multidisciplinary approach, including next-generation sequencing, bacterial genetics, host genetics and metabolomics.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Working conditions: This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
Salary range: Base pay is commensurate with experience.
