The Schwartz lab studies the role of the gut microbiome and immune response in susceptibility to neonatal sepsis. We use a combination of sequencing, microbial culturing, immune profiling, and gnotobiotic mouse models to create predictions for which infants are most susceptible to sepsis. We are looking for an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team. Postdoctoral work will include immune and microbiome analysis from gnotobiotic mouse experiments.

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
Education: Ph.D., M.D. Or Equivalent Terminal Or Doctoral Degree.
