Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?
In our research group you will find a unique opportunity to work closely with top researchers and neurologists working together with a translational approach, with projects stemming from the clinic, going to pre-clinical and fundamental research, through clinical trials and back to patients. Our group aims to study a myotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and primary lateral sclerosis (PLS) through different angles, from transcriptomics and proteomics to clinical trials. We offer an engaging and international research environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to high-quality research at the international top level.
We are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for a project focused on generating high-quality health-economic evidence in ALS. The role involves using linked registry data to produce real-world evidence on health-related quality of life, healthcare resource use, and the cost of illness in ALS. You will design and conduct advanced statistical analyses, build decision-analytic models to evaluate the cost-effectiveness and budget impact of existing and emerging ALS interventions, and explore opportunities to integrate health-economic evaluation alongside clinical trials.
As a postdoctoral fellow, you will play a central role in the scientific development and implementation of the project. You will integrate diverse data sources, collaborate closely with clinical experts and international partners, and contribute to methodological innovation in rare-disease economic evaluation. Responsibilities include preparing high-impact publications, presenting findings to scientific, clinical, and policy audiences, participating in grant applications, and supervising Master's students. The position also offers opportunities to pursue your own research interests and develop an independent research profile within the group.
The position will be based in Solna, but work will also be carried out in Flemingsberg and at the trial unit hosting the majority of our clinical studies at Sabbatsberg. This is a 2-year full-time position, with the possibility of extension.
To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, a PhD or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish PhD is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. Completion of your doctoral degree within the last three years is considered an advantage. If there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
