Postdoctoral Fellow
Postdoc in TMS-EEG Full-time NEW
Precision Neuromodulation Lab at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL is looking for a postdoctoral scholar with a PhD in human neuroscience, cognitive sciences, computer sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related field subspecializing in human electrophysiology. This role will focus on advancing the next generation of a personalized, adaptive, closed-loop TMS-EEG for understanding the human brain and improving psychiatric care.
Requirements:
Prospective candidates should have (1) a completed doctoral degree by start date, (2) experience with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and/or electroencephalography (EEG) as evidenced by journal publications or conference materials, and (3) a readiness to learn and apply both computational and human experimental methods. Proficiency in some of the following is a plus: combined TMS-EEG experiments and data analysis, MATLAB/Python/Bash coding, MR imaging analysis, cognitive or mental health assessments, computational head modeling or neural modeling, and machine learning / deep learning.

The candidate will be expected to plan, lead, and interpret human studies, contribute to the computational and engineering R&D, build a consistent publication record, contribute to and lead applications for extramural funding, collaborate with other team members and outside groups, attend national research meetings, and effectively communicate research findings.

The position is initially offered for one year, with the expectation of extension upon satisfactory performance.
