We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with experience in microfluidics, fluorescence and label-free microscopy, applied to complex in vitro systems (organoid, immune cells, fibroblasts and tissues) and extensive oncology cellular biology to join the Oncology Translational Research team within GSK Oncology.
The Oncology Translational Research team will partner with other Oncology Therapy Area team members to increase clinical translatability and to contribute to preclinical development programs within GSK Oncology TA.
The successful candidate will work in a small team involved in the establishment of a new organoid-on-a-chip platform combined with a microfluidic system and single cell detection. This research platform will be used to develop and implement cutting-edge cellular, genomic and molecular techniques with a multimodality analytic approach, generating data that will inform machine learning models to improve cancer patient risk stratification as well as to predict future targeted and/or immuno-therapy susceptibilities.
Please note that this position will need to be predominantly lab-based with some ad hoc flexibility to work from home.
We create a place where people can grow, be their best, be safe, and feel welcome, valued and included. We offer a competitive salary, an annual bonus based on company performance, healthcare and wellbeing programmes, pension plan membership, and shares and savings programme.
We embrace modern work practices; our Performance with Choice programme offers a hybrid working model, empowering you to find the optimal balance between remote and in-office work.
