As a Process Scientist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the development of aseptic production processes, centered around the formulation and filling process, suitable for manufacturing sites around the world. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across the manufacturing value chain while contributing to the launch of medicines that impact millions of lives.

In this role, you will be working on tasks related to:

• Execution of drug product productions for phase 3 clinical trials
• Leading and coordinating test runs and process characterization
• Support process validation activities to prepare for large-scale market production, ensuring process robustness and compliance
• Preparing and reviewing technology transfer documentation including manufacturing batch records and validation protocols
• Supporting scale-up activities and troubleshooting technical challenges during process implementation
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across CMC & Product Supply to ensure successful product launches
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge management within the team
• Travel internationally (up 10-15 days per year) to support on-site activities and ensure seamless knowledge transfer

The area New Product Introduction (NPI) is a part of Aseptic Manufacturing Science & Technology (AMSAT) and consists of approximately 90 employees across several departments consisting of Process and Product teams, Reg writer and Submission team and Reference materials.

NPI's main responsibility is to ensure a smooth transition of development products into large-scale production and market approval. The position is within the New Manufacturing Processes team, a group of 10 highly skilled employees. The team develops, upscales and implements aseptic production processes for new products in the development pipeline. We work in cross-functional project groups but are united to meet team goals and share experience and knowledge. This maternity cover position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects while developing your expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

We're looking for a scientifically curious and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

• A Master's degree or PhD in Pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, chemical engineering, or a related scientific discipline
• Experience in pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, or technology transfer, preferably within the biologics
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical quality systems
• Excellent collaboration skills and communication skills and are an individual who prioritizes team success above personal achievements
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences
• You are self-driven and ambitious and are comfortable in a setting with unknowns and several stakeholders, where our actions make a real impact.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
