The UCL Climate Action Unit (CAU) is an impact-focused team based in the Faculty of Mathematics & Physical Sciences. The CAU works to change how scientists, policymakers, businesses, media, civil society organizations, and citizens engage with each other and climate change. The aim of the Climate Action Unit is to accelerate the uptake of climate action and the transition to net-zero across society.
We are looking for a Project Coordinator for a 12-month contract.
The main purpose of the job will be to coordinate, design, and deliver projects and interventions with our partner organizations; to conduct analyses and evaluation to determine the outcomes and impacts of those projects; and to share the practices and principles underpinning the work of the Climate Action Unit.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a discipline linked to human behavior and/or climate change.
You will combine experience of identifying, supporting, and building cross-disciplinary and cross-sectoral collaborative activities. You will have experience of facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings and workshops. You will have experience of end-to-end program design and delivery of climate-action focused projects. You will bring extensive experience of creating project interventions. You will have an understanding of and commitment to the objectives of the UCL Climate Action Unit's work.
You will combine excellent communication skills, with strong qualitative analytical skills and an ability to identify key ideas from workshop materials, using them to shape project activities and outputs. You will have a proven ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships, and an ability to work independently while remaining an effective team member.
The ability to communicate one or more of the academic insights underpinning the working approaches of the UCL Climate Action Unit is desirable.
