The National Centre for Indigenous Genomics (NCIG) seeks an experienced Project Manager to ensure timely delivery of commitments under the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) grant and to maintain essential program and governance functions.
The Project Manager will oversee key projects spanning both scientific and community engagement streams, including development of an Indigenous reference genome, genomic assemblies, and national surveys and workshops with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The role is also responsible for coordinating NCIG's governance committees, ensuring effective oversight and accountability.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic project manager with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project planning, stakeholder engagement, and change management, particularly within large or complex environments—experience in the higher education sector is highly regarded. Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a commitment to continuous improvement and sector best practices.
