We're hiring a QC Scientist to join our team! You will be responsible for carrying out raw material testing within an ISO accredited laboratory environment. Essential functions include, pharmacopeia testing, UPLC, ICPMS analysis and must have a good knowledge of analytical techniques. The QC Scientist also ensures compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, and actively leads the data collection, trend analysis, investigation and improvements processes and participates in projects assigned.

Performance and subject matter expert in raw material release testing in accordance to standard operating procedures in a timely and efficient manner. Pro-actively work closely with Technical, Manufacturing & Procurement to resolve quality related issues arising from customer complaints/concerns and internal incidents. Responsible for the facilitation of investigation and resolution of related quality issues.

Constantly strive to enhance efficiency in procedures and processes without a compromise in quality. Identity and implement opportunities across the operational facility. Able to be independent, decisive where appropriate and work on own initiative.

Perform statistical analysis to analyse and review trends in data and implement any improvements where required.

Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and solution to complex problems. Constantly strive to enhance efficiency in procedures and processes without compromise in quality.

Independently support and participate internal customer audits.

Requires a bachelor's degree within a Chemistry discipline. Extensive analytical experience or in a related environment is required, and can demonstrate excellent working knowledge of scientific principles. Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment and to effectively interact with all levels of the company.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external development team members are essential.

You will liaise extensively with all other department within the operational department. Customer and external lab communication is also expected within this role. Work is conducted in an analytical lab environment, May be required to perform raw material sampling, this will involve the movement of boxes and pallets.
