Mathematics Teacher

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or secondary school mathematics teacher to refresh their mathematical skills and re-engage with the discipline at the tertiary level. Key responsibilities will include:

• Teaching, facilitating, and examining undergraduate, honours, and/or postgraduate coursework students in Mathematics.
• Contributing to the curriculum through preparation of teaching materials and assessment.
• Providing high-quality service to students, including academic consultation and advice.
• Gathering evidence of teaching effectiveness to improve the quality of courses and teaching and engaging in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Understanding and applying University rules relevant to teaching and learning practice.

In addition to the above, at Level B will:

• Engage in educational collaborations to document and disseminate good teaching practices in the School.

As part of the Selection Process, applicants shortlisted for interview will be required to present a mock lecture to members of the School community prior to their scheduled interview. The lecture topic will be provided in advance to shortlisted candidates and will be 25 minutes, plus questions. Please note that the mock lectures and interviews are likely to occur in the week starting 6 October 2025.
