Sanofi Intrépide Research Laboratories is a new initiative designed to identify, incubate, validate and advance science, technology and business opportunities that are deemed to be crucial for Sanofi's near-, mid- and long-term pipeline strategy. It has a global presence, China and US.

The Sanofi Intrépide China initiative is designed to allow Global Research to gain deep insights into the local ecosystem and ensure scientific rigor in evaluating external opportunities that are critical to our Research pipeline ambitions.

We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking, and experienced drug hunter to lead biologic discovery projects in alignment with our global research strategy. The ideal candidates will lead cross-functional project team to drive biologic projects with scientific rigor, goal-oriented and sense of urgency. They will use internal and external resource and engage Sanofi internal key stakeholders to advance the projects to preclinical stage. This role offers the opportunity to make concrete contributions to Sanofi's global Research pipeline, driving forward our mission to discover breakthrough therapies for patients worldwide.

Main Responsibilities Include:

1. Lead therapeutic antibody discovery project(s) and drive the project to preclinical milestones.
2. Work with internal and external cross-functional team members to advance projects, ensure the high quality projects delivery within defined timeline and budget.
3. Take the lead in project related studies including assay development, antibody screening, MoAs and in vitro & in vivo pharmacology studies etc.
4. Independently conduct in-depth evaluations of the therapeutic areas. Leverage scientific, technological insights and unmet medical needs to propose innovative discovery project proposals.
5. Strong communication skill to align key objectives and delivery goals with global TAs and key functional stakeholders.
6. Present research findings in a clear, concise, and compelling manner in research community and management governance community.

About You

• PhD degree or equivalent in immunology, biology, biochemistry or relevant field.

• 8-10 years industry experience in biologics drug discovery, familiar with emerging new science and/or technologies in antibody discovery.

• Project leadership experience in immunology or oncology related areas with track records of successfully advance the projects to preclinical milestones.

• In-depth knowledge of immunology and/or oncology disease or other related disease areas.

• Good communication skills, excellent scientific presentation skills in both Chinese and English

• Strong aspiration, diligent, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility
