Overview of the role:
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position reporting to Dr Ian McCracken and Prof Sarah De Val based at the Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine (IDRM). We are looking for an ambitious and highly-motivated individual to join our combined research teams. The role will involve working extensively to differentiate hiPSCs to endothelial cells whilst applying CRISPR/Cas9 based screening methodologies to infer the role of specific family of transcription factors. The postholder will apply various advanced techniques including single cell RNA sequencing and production and use of lentiviral vectors. Opportunities to gain experience in bioinformatics analyses of single cell RNA sequencing datasets will also be provided.
