Research Assistant

The postholder will undertake high-quality research and produce high-impact publications as part of a new research project. The goal of the initiative is to contribute to answering the pressing scientific question of whether surprises generated during treatment contribute to the improvement of anxiety and depression symptoms.

About the role:

• Help with development of experimental materials, programming tasks, and piloting.
• Recruitment and testing of participants in schools. This will involve close liaison with schools and young people and undertaking of experimental procedures to protocol.
• To maintain databases for trial and monitor completeness of data.
• Data entry and analysis from a variety of sources collected at multiple time points.
• Responsible for day-to-day administrative duties related to the project, including regularly entering and checking data.
• To assist in the preparation of reports, presentations and publications.
• Any other duties appropriate to the grade as directed by the supervisor

About you:

You have a good degree in psychology (or related fields) and have experience with statistical data analysis (SPSS and R), handling large data sets, and research protocol. In addition, you have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and an interest in contributing to research of psychiatric disorders
