Position Description

Classification: ANU Officer 4 (Research) Salary package: $79,314 – $85,809 per annum plus 17% superannuation Term: Full-time, Fixed Term (up to 12 months)

The Position:

The role will involve assisting in the design and conduct of qualitative and quantitative animal research in cancer studies, including processing blood samples for multiparameter leukocyte analysis by spectral flow cytometry. You will assist in creating, testing, maintaining and managing relevant databases and undertake quantitative analyses with direction in R.

The Person:

Ideally, the selected person will have demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in a complex organisation. You will be familiar with using R for scientific experiments. Additionally experience with blood samples and their analysis by spectral flow cytometry will be highly regarded.

The John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR) at the Australian National University (ANU) is a premier medical research institute established in 1948 in Canberra. It focuses on pioneering, translational research in cancer, immunology, neuroscience, and infectious diseases. JCSMR offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programs, operating with state-of-the-art facilities
