Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant, to work under the supervision of Dr. Brian Davidson and Dr. Morenike Magbagbeola and contribute to a multidisciplinary research programme focused on advancing Irreversible Electroporation (IRE) for pancreatic cancer treatment through the integration of robotics, real-time imaging, and computational modelling.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative initiative spanning the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science, the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, and the Surgical Robot Vision Group, based within the UCL Hawkes Institute and the UCL Robotics Institute.
The post holder will work both independently and as part of a wider interdisciplinary team. They will support experimental studies, including system operation and maintenance, data collection and analysis, and the presentation of findings through internal reports and presentations.

Undergraduate degree and/or a Masters-level degree in Mechanical/Biomedical, Medical Imaging or a related field (equivalent to an upper second-class Honours degree)
Experience in developing hardware (e.g. embedded, robotics, systems, medical) etc.
Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualization (Excel, MATLAB, Python, Labview, other).
Evidence of collaboration across disciplines, especially with clinical experts and industry stakeholders would be advantageous.
