The Department of Global Public Health is an interdisciplinary department whose aim is to deepen the understanding of how public health can be improved at local, national and global levels. Many of the department's researchers act as scientific advisers to public authorities and other decision-makers at regional, national and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master's programmes, and the researchers are actively involved in teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The department has 12 research groups, around 115 doctoral students and approximately 140 staff members.
The position is based in the Epidemiology and Public Health Intervention Research (EPHIR) research group. In our research group, you will have the opportunity to conduct research in interdisciplinary teams with colleagues in the fields of epidemiology and intervention research. Close collaboration with researchers in other research groups at the department is part of the role.
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented research assistant to work in the field of injury epidemiology, with a particular focus on statistical analysis and scientific publication. The role involves working on several research projects aimed at improving our understanding of risk factors for injuries in the population, with a particular focus on road traffic injuries and older people. This is a full-time position for a period of approximately one year.

You have a strong sense of responsibility, a genuine interest in research and a desire to develop your skills in epidemiological methods and scientific writing. You should also have very good analytical skills and be detail-oriented. You will be expected to take personal responsibility and drive your own learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in medicine or public health.
