The Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences calls for applications for a 7.5-month position as a research assistant in cellular agriculture for milk production. The position is available from June 15, 2026, or soon thereafter. The position is in the research section Gut and Host Health.
We seek a candidate with a background in animal science, biology or veterinary science. The candidate should have experience in applied cell biology and mammary gland physiology in dairy cattle. Furthermore, the candidate must have experience in designing and conducting in vitro cell biology studies including experimental collection of mammary tissue from cows. The candidate should have experience in establishing cell and organoid cultures from tissue from animals including passaging and real-time measurement of cell growth. The candidate must have good collaborative and English communication skills. The candidate will be part of an active and dynamic research group, which is internationally recognized for its research in cell and lactation physiology.

Formalities and salary range:
Natural Sciences refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
