Research Assistant (M/F/D)

The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg (Germany) has an opening for a research assistant (m/f/d) in the research group “Biological Physics” of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Cissé.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible and is limited to two years.

The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics (MPI-IE) in Freiburg, Germany is an interdisciplinary research institution that conducts basic research in two key areas of modern biology: Immunobiology and Epigenetics. Central questions address the molecular basis of cell type identities, as they are regulated during immune cell differentiation, metabolic response, and epigenetic chromatin adaptation.

Your Tasks

• Perform cloning, cell culture, and imaging experiments
• Collaborate in the planning and execution of research projects
• Assist in developing and implementing new methodologies and techniques
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project objectives

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's in biology or related field.
• A background in molecular biology with a minimum of three years of experience is required.
• Familiarity with cloning and cell culture techniques.
• Experience with imaging techniques is preferred.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies.
