Research Associate Position

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. The School plays an integral role in spearheading tertiary education, advancing research innovations and providing professional services in a number of key disciplines in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Maritime Studies fields, with the objective of contributing to the technological and economic advancement of Singapore and beyond. We are looking for a Research Associate to support the research for the project titled “The Self-healing Cement Additive and Its Applications”. The role will focus on carrying out research according to the proposed milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Research Associate (RA) will work on a project to develop self-healing cement additive and explore its applications in concrete materials and structures.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Material Science or Chemistry or related field
• Strong academic standing with several publications in reputable journals
• Strong references from previous supervisors
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in chemical synthesis and analysis, concrete sample preparation, mechanical testing and microstructural characterization (XRD, TGA, FTIR and SEM-EDX).
