We are looking for a highly motivated and independent research consultant to support our efforts in aging and genome maintenance to commence 1 June 2026 or after agreement.
Our research covers the exploration of the molecular basis of aging. The group is utilizing computational approaches to discover how aging progresses and the molecular changes that occur with aging.
You will join a multi-disciplinary research team working on secondary DNA structures in premature aging. Specifically, you will be working on a Frontier Grant funded by the Lundbeck foundation.
Your tasks will be as defined by the frontiers grant:
You will be expected to contribute to and support the ongoing research projects in the group on an ad hoc basis when needed; disseminate your expertise to new lab members and support the lab management.

The place of employment is at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, University of Copenhagen. The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (ICMM) offers an ambitious scientific environment, with many different nationalities represented. ICMM aims to produce research with high international impact focusing on the functional cell, its genetic components and molecular cellular mechanisms in a medical context. ICMM currently comprises five research programmes, three high profile Research Centers as well as a number of international research groups.
The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.
The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 1 year and 1 month. The starting date is 1 June 2026 or after agreement.
Employment will be in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement concerning Academics in the state sector concluded between the Danish Ministry of Finance and Akademikerne (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The monthly salary will be based on the number of years of work experience (seniority) with the possibility to negotiate a salary supplement based on prior experience and qualifications. The employer will pay an additional 18.07 % to your pension fund.
