The Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine is Canada's only free-standing faculty dedicated to rehabilitation. It offers accredited professional programs in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology, along with a substantial research and continuing education portfolio. This position has a term length of 1 year plus 1 day, with the possibility of extension. Location – This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton.
The Research Coordinator will work with Dr. Victor Ezeugwu at the Human Movement Lab (Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Alberta) and will support the successful execution of the Behavioural Intervention and Guided Stepping Training Early Post-Stroke (BIG STEPS) trial and related research activities. This position will coordinate day-to-day research operations, including ethics submissions, trial registration, participant recruitment, data collection, and project management. The Research Coordinator will lead the management, cleaning, and analysis of large datasets derived from human movement measurement technologies, including wearable sensors and motion capture systems. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience working with complex longitudinal and behavioural datasets. Proficiency in statistical software such as Stata and R is considered a strong asset. This position will also support knowledge translation activities, manuscript preparation, grant reporting, and collaboration with multisite and multidisciplinary research teams.
