Research Engineer I

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) plays an integral role in spearheading tertiary education, advancing research innovations and providing professional services in a number of key disciplines in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Maritime Studies fields, with the objective of contributing to the technological and economic advancement of Singapore and beyond.

We are looking for a Research Engineer I to join a CITIES OF TOMORROW (CoT) R&D project for VERTICAL 5: CITY IN NATURE. The project plays a pivotal role in ensuring a resilient urban environment against climate change and contributes to NTU strategic research in Resilient Urbanisation & Natural Ecosystems that is aligned with Singapore's national Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2025 plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in field and laboratory tests
• Develop test protocols
• Compile test data and maintain database
• Conduct analysis and evaluation
• Assist to prepare budgets, reports and papers

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of physics and proficiency in data analytics
• Competent in knowledge of software like MSOffice, Python, and Matlab
• Possess Class 3 driving license (Singapore) and ability to work both indoors and outdoors
• Experience working with local industry players and adaptability to field conditions
• Good written and oral communication skills for report writing
