Senior Software Engineer

ERI@N – Energy Centre of Innovation (“ECOI”), is the Singapore National Centre of Innovation for Energy, set up by Enterprise Singapore and NTU. Our aim is to provide technical and business support to local start-ups and SMEs in the areas of energy and sustainability, which include product or service co-development, test-bedding, incubation, market expansion and etc.

ERI@N – Energy Centre of Innovation (“ECOI”) is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer professional, as part of the team, to support ERI@n-ECOI and sustainability related projects and services, to local SMEs and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working as part of the ECOI team to provide the digitalization support, liaising with both clients and partners to deliver quality digital solutions and sustainability services
• Design, implement, and optimize a data pipeline that processes EL images.
• Develop and integrate algorithms for image correction, stitching, and exposure alignment to create system-level composite images.
• Build and train advanced machine learning models to autonomously detect various PV defects such as hotspots, microcracks.
• Execute the necessary data preparation & pre-processing, AI-model building, testing, validation and deployment to ensure a reliable and scalable AI solution
• Ensure seamless integration of processed data into the software platform for continuous model improvement.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze model performance across diverse PV system conditions (e.g., regional climate differences) and iterate for higher accuracy.
• Work closely with the project manager and hardware team (internal/external) to align the imaging system outputs with the AI processing requirements

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience in managing and delivering project milestones with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Proven experience managing complex projects in technology, robotics, or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary tasks and resolve cross-functional challenges.
• Experience with industry qualifications in autonomous robots and commercial PV-related projects is a plus.
• Experience with risk assessment and quality control in tech-driven environments
