Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, this doctoral-level researcher will be involved in Chemical Biology research, exploring the mechanism of drug molecules targeting protein-protein interactions. They will be responsible for investigating and characterizing the dynamic interactions between small molecules and proteins at the molecular level using biophysical techniques (DSF, MS, NMR, alpha-screen). Experience with these and associated techniques is highly desirable. Experience in the organic synthesis of small molecules is also desirable but not essential.
The candidate will also contribute to the preparation of scientific documentation, publications, and patent applications. Additional responsibilities include mentoring students and supporting general laboratory management.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in chemical biology or a related life sciences discipline. Knowledge of metabolic and fibrosis indications would be advantageous.
