Monash University is seeking a Research Fellow to join the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology within the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute at the Clayton campus. This Level A research-only position will contribute to the research program of the Signalling Network Laboratory, undertaking projects focused on specific members of the protein kinase superfamily and their evaluation as therapeutic targets in triple negative breast cancer and other malignancies.
The role will involve characterising signalling mechanisms, determining protein function using knockdown and knockout approaches, and conducting experiments in cell culture and mouse models. You will work under limited supervision as part of a collaborative research team, contribute to high quality publications and conference presentations, and provide supervision and guidance to research students.
You will hold a doctoral qualification in biochemistry, molecular biology or a closely related discipline. You will demonstrate:
