Research Fellow Position

SPMS is a School under NTU College of Science. Our School is organized into two divisions: the Division of Mathematical Sciences and the Division of Physics and Applied Physics. We are home to internationally-renowned research groups pursuing cutting-edge research in a diverse range of topics in the mathematical sciences, physics, and related disciplines.

We are looking for a Research Fellow to study quantum materials via Machine Learning. The role will focus on developing Machine Learning techniques to help DFT to screen quantum materials and their exotic responses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct original, high-quality research aimed at publication in leading international journals.
• Develop and maintain a database of quantum materials to support systematic research and discovery.
• Design and develop AI-based tools for the screening and identification of promising quantum materials.
• Provide guidance and training to PhD students, including research supervision and technical mentoring.

Job Requirements:

• PhD qualification degree in condensed matter physics or related field
• Familiarity with topology and quantum geometry
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in machine learning and density functional theory
