The Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), hosted by NTU in partnership with NUS, linking new insights from the life sciences with expertise from emerging technologies in engineering and natural sciences to understand, harness and control microbial biofilm communities.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to carry out quantitative analysis of microbial populations in biofilms formed in geothermal outflow in Singapore. The role will focus on quantitation of active populations and analysis of functional genomic potential. Expertise in next-generation sequencing, metagenomic analysis, and geothermal microbial ecology is essential. The candidate must also have superior writing skills and a track record of publication.
