The successful candidate will develop Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) based tools and techniques for efficient Novel Indirect Evaporative Cooler (NIEC) operation and smart integration of NIEC and Mechanical Vapour Compression (MVC) for all weather conditions and for all applications. The postholder will liaise with other partners in the project that are involved in the fabrication of the NIEC and MVC equipment, develop optimisation and advanced control techniques in the AI framework, and implement these on the equipment.
Salary is £13,878.30 per annum inclusive of London allowance (pro-rata for 0.3FTE)
This is a fixed term contract for 18 months in the first instance.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in an Engineering discipline, with experience of working in a research environment. The postholder will have experience of machine learning and optimisation of energy and process systems. Proven ability to analyse and write up data and an ability to write complex reports and papers accurately and clearly is essential.
