This is a fixed-term postdoctoral position that will last till the end of January 2027. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to support pharmacoepidemiology research using large healthcare databases. The postholder will contribute to a research programme examining patterns of disease conditions and medication use among older adults living with dementia. The work will involve the analysis of large population-based datasets, including UK Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) data and linked health records, to generate evidence that can help us better understand the role of cardiovascular disease and related risk factors in dementia.
The postholder will work within a collaborative international research programme and will contribute to study design, data preparation, statistical analysis, and dissemination of findings through academic publications, conference presentations, and web-based interactive tools.

Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B (salary £38,357 – £41,005 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.
This position is on a full-time basis.
