Research Fellow (Membrane Separation and Water Desalination Processes) Full-time

We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct research on membrane and separation technology for desalination, resource recovery, and decarbonization at NTU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct membrane and separation technology related projects for desalination, decarbonization, resource recovery etc.
• Experimental setup design and construction, experiment design and testing, process modelling, data processing and reporting, progress report preparation, etc.
• Journal paper publication.
• Assistance in research proposal preparation, etc.
• Assistance in mentoring junior students/researchers

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.
• Excellent journal paper publication record.
• Proficient oral presentation, report writing and multitasking skills.
• Competent in using membrane technology and separation technologies.
• Relevant research experience on electrochemical processes, electrode synthesis and in scaling up electrochemical water technology will be preferred.
• Relevant research experience in the fabrication/synthesis of RO/NF/ion exchange membranes (IEMs)/organic solvent membranes and/or organic chemical synthesis, and membrane/separation process development will be preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Strong responsibility for research.
